Laura and I spent Sunday at the Toms River Fest in New Joisey rockin’ out to Phantom Planet, Maroon 5 and Fuel. Despite some craaaaaziness with the ticket situation (and me going on 4.5 hours of sleep), we had a total blast. We saw Phantom Planet totally up close, like front row, right against the rail that separates the fans from the stage. This was my first time seeing them so I knew what, 2 songs but I was very impressed. These boys know how to rock. And such cuties too! We weren’t nearly as close for Maroon 5, but since a good amount of people were sitting down (yeah, who freakin’ sits at a M5 show) throughout the show, we got a great view. This is my third time seeing them but the first time that I actually “saw” them. All the other times we were too far away and I’m too freakin’ short. We didn’t get home until midnight but it was all worth it. And it definitely helped me get my mind off of the drama that I’ve been going through. Thanks Laura, for begging me to go with you!

P.S. So we find out that Alex (lead singer of PP) and Adam (lead singer of M5) both dated the same girl. But not at the same time, Alex emphasizes. My goodness, can you imagine dating two hot rock stars? Lucky biatch.

I’ve been MIA on the blogs the last couple of weeks as you all can see. A lot has gone on in my life recently that has kept me busy. I just got back from Puerto Rico a few days ago, I attended a friend’s wedding down there. There are a lot of changes at work and now is really my time to step up to the plate.  The biggest thing that’s happened to me however, is that I had a boyfriend. Yup, that’s ‘had’. Not have.

It didn’t last very long. But while it did, it made me very very happy. But all of a sudden, a series of events occurred which just tore this all away from him and I. It is all very heartbreaking and way too long to discuss here, but basically it has to do with ex-girlfriend issues. It’s amazing how things can change in the course of just a day. I am hurt and I was crying a lot when all of this first happened. But now I am just tired of feeling hurt so I made peace with these horrible feelings and gathered all my courage so I can move on with my life. He is not a bad guy, this ex-boyfriend of mine. He’s not like previous exes, where they were just complete assholes. It’s just the unfortunate issues surrounding him that made all this happen.

So I am going back to focusing on me. Not that I ever lost complete focus of myself. But I just want to be happy again and enjoy my life. Like going to concerts and meeting rock stars. (You all must have heard by now, that we met Def Leppard a few weeks ago?) This weekend I’m going with her to see a couple of bands including Phantom Planet and Maroon 5. I’m sure more attempts at meeting rock stars will be made that day. Hee hee, I feel like my old self again.

I dunno if this is gonna work or not.
